Drupal is awesome!

Figured I'd start with the basics on this site and bring the structure up to par with my old static site while getting familiar with Drupal.

I'm extremely impressed with the plugin architecture of Drupal so far. Being able to load modules from drupal.org by simply providing the URL to the module's tar.gz is brilliant.

So far I've installed the Pathauto and Global Redirect modules which give me the nice clean URLs and prevent the "unclean" URLs from going anywhere. Both were installed and configured in under 30 minutes which is light years faster than I've experienced with other CMS in the past. The entire site has been about two or three hours I'd estimate.

Hopefully next week I will have some time to figure out how to get a photo gallery working and then I can start uploading some pictures of my projects.
